MVMS Announcements
8th Grade Dance
Only 8th grade MVMS students will be allowed to attend the semi-formal 8th grade promotion dance. It will be held on May 23, 2012, from 5:30-7:00 PM. Ticket prices are $5.00 both before and at the door. Cake and drinks will be served. No outside students or student in other grades will be permitted to the MVMS 8th Grade Promotion Dance. Tickets will go on sale beginning Thursday, May 17-May 22, during lunch.

School Advisory Council Application
Parents, school staff members, and Rio Rancho residents are encouraged to apply for election to one of the school district’s 19 advisory school councils for the 2012-13 school year. Click here to learn about and submit your candidacy application.

No More Charging for Lunch
There will be no more charging allowed for lunch. Please bring money or make sure you have money in your account or you will receive a cheese sandwich.
7th Grade Tetanus Shots
Students are required to have a tetanus containing shot within the last 5 years to register for 7th grade. If you have received your tetanus shot already, please bring proof to the health office and receive a coupon for free popcorn during April and May.
Behavior notice
Students please remember to show Pawsitive Pride during the last few days of school. It is not too late to hand out consequences for disruptive behavior. Consequences can be carried over into the 2012-13 school year.
LIBRARY NOTICE: ALL Library books are due.

Sports- The boys baseball banquet will be held at Dion's May 15.
- 8th grade boys interested in playing football for Cleveland High School next fall, there will be a player/parent meeting, May 21 at 6 p.m.
- A girls basketball camp will be held at Cleveland High School from June 11-12 for players in 6th-12th grades. Fee is $50. For more information, see Coach Mondragon.

A Robotic Adventure Summer Academy
Attention RRPS Native American Students: Join us for a fun, educational learning experience during the 2012 American Indian Summer Academy: A Robotic Adventure! The summer academy is open to RRPS students enrolled in grades K-11 will take place July 23-Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Puesta del Sol Elementary School. Registration forms are available at www.rrps.net or by clicking the link below. Registration deadline is June 15, 2012.
